SmashHit is an EU funded project set up to devise ways to increase the willingness of consumers (Data Owners) to allow (through consent) companies to use their personal data for the provision of personalized services. We have identified you as a company/organization that interacts with consumers (Data Owners) with a desire to gather personal data from them to either (i) provide services directly to the consumer, and/or (ii) share the consumers personal data (with the consumers consent) with other organizations who in-turn, provide personalized services to the consumer.

Personal data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable living individual. Pieces of information, which collected together can lead to the identification of a particular person, are also considered to be personal data.
